I graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at Semmelweis University in 2002. In my final year at university, I gained experience in emergency care as a paramedic. From 2002 to 2007, I worked as a surgical resident and then as a specialist candidate at the BM Central Hospital in Budapest and the State Health Center’s Surgery Department until 2008. Since 2009, I have been providing inpatient care at the Surgery Department of the B.-A.-Z. County Hospital. I obtained my general surgery specialization in 2009 and was appointed as an adjunct surgeon in 2017.
Since 2018, I have also been providing outpatient care in a private surgical practice. My main areas of interest are minimally invasive (laparoscopic) surgery, oncological (cancer) surgery, and thyroid surgery. Due to the well-known advantages of laparoscopic surgery (less postoperative pain, fewer wound healing complications, lower risk of hernia formation, and quicker return to work), it is now almost exclusively used for treating numerous benign conditions (gallbladder removal, hernia surgery, adrenal gland surgery, hiatal hernia repair, bowel surgery).
It is also increasingly applied in oncological surgery without compromising oncological outcomes. In oncological surgery, I have primarily gained experience in the field of gastrointestinal tumors, particularly in the treatment of bowel, liver, and stomach tumors, where I also prefer laparoscopic surgeries.
